After his studies in Informatics, Erwin Mul worked at Akzo- Nobel- Intervet International B.V as an IT Project Manager. Afterwards he worked for CapGemini as an Enterprise Architect, before transferring to Shell, his current workplace. Starting as a Lead Segment Architect- Global Functions in August 2012, he worked his way up to his current position as Lead Enterprise Architect.

Since 2016 Erwin Mul is also a Guest Lecturer at VU Amsterdam on Corporate and Technology strategy and Enterprise Architecture.
